My parents came along so it would be easy for me and Caleb to just to hop out and put bags in different places. At one place, while Caleb and I were walking to a bus stop, my dad heard a bottle break and ran over to help a homeless man that had dropped some of his stuff. My dad ran back to the car to get him a bag, and the homeless man was so grateful to have something to eat. At another place, we saw an area under an underpass that had some bedding so we left a bag of food there. While we were looping around later, we saw a man in that area laying on his mat enjoying the food from the bag. Maybe it's not a big deal, but it felt good to help.
Here's what I put on the outside of the bag:
Here’s just a little treat for anyone that may be in need of something to eat.
17If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
1 Corinthians 2:9
9However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him."
