A few more pics from the nature trail

Such a precious group!

Caleb walking with his new crush.

Caleb was acting grumpy about something so I joined him in his pain.

Martin Nature Park

We enjoyed Martin Nature Park on Wednesday. The creek part is so much fun!

Caleb and Cohen

Both fell at the same time.

Gymnastics Lesson

Caleb had his first day of gymnastics Tuesday. He was the only kiddo that day so he got the teacher all to himself. She was such a great instructor, and Caleb had a great time. There is this cool observation room upstairs where we get to sit which I think helped Caleb stay focused. He looked up there to find me a few times, but most of the time I think he forgot I was even there.

Strep Throat, Again!

Caleb started running a fever Sunday, then started throwing up that night. No fun, especially the part where he threw up on me. I know... gross.... So I took him to the doc first thing this morning and sure enough, he tested positive for strep. It's like the 3rd time he's had it this year! The great part is that as soon as he had his first dose of antibiotics, he started feeling better. I think he'll be doing fine tomorrow. Now I just hope the rest of the family doesn't come down with it. Avery and Landon are probably doomed.

Before the strep hit, we spent most of the day Saturday at my best friend, Tara's, house. Caleb had a good time playing with his buddy Cohen, except for one part that I still giggle at when I think about it. Caleb grabbed a bat and Cohen grabbed a regular baseball to pitch to him. Almost as soon as I said, "Now be careful. Throw it toward the bat, not at his face" WHAM! Right at Caleb's face. There was instant crying and Caleb started shouting, "Why, why, Cohen why???" It was totally an accident, and Caleb was fine, I just loved how dramatic Caleb was.

Quote of the Day

"The thoughts that dominate your mind will dominate your actions." Charles Stanley

When I was listening to Charles Stanley tonight, he said the above quote which just jumped out at me so I thought I'd share. How true is that? Those that I know who fight addictions or other things never get over them until their thought process changes. Anyway.... this just got me thinking about certain people in my life.... c'est la vie....

Such a gorgeous day!

I'm wiped out, but in a good way. Today was a busy day of going to parks and being outside. I took Caleb to one park then after we finished up there I thought it would be fun to load our bikes on the car and head up to Lake Hefner. I took Caleb a few days ago when it was REALLY windy and he didn't last too long on his bike, but today went really well. We had a pretty long ride then ended up back at another park. Even though we lose an hour, I love Springtime daylight savings. It's the beginning of long nights and finding all kinds of fun things to do outside.

I'm one week away from Spring Break, but I don't think it'll be much of a break. I'll be using it to catch up on all my school stuff. I spoke with my advisor last week, after having a mini panic attack over all the statistics stuff, and she really eased my mind. I feel like I got some more confirmation that I'm on the right career path.

Future Gymnast?

I stopped by a gym right around the corner from where I live today that I take Caleb too pretty often. There's an awesome indoor playground there, and it's only $5 to play there as long as you want. Fantastic deal on those super cold or super hot days. Anyway.... (sorry got off track there).... I picked up a flyer that had some preschool gym classes starting up in a couple weeks. There was an all boy's class for 4-year-olds which worked with my schedule so I signed him up. Caleb LOVES to jump around, is freakishly strong, and will try anything so I figured why not. Should be fun!
